Well folks, it’s a good thing I have plenty of things to do in the house because it is too hot to even breathe outside!
In fact, it’s downright brutal! The grass is dying, despite a weekly watering. We don’t want to swim until after five, if then.
Today, I had a reservation and tickets for my best friend and I to go see Where the Crawdads Sing. That is a great way to beat the heat, and when you go as early as we did, tickets were only $5 plus tax per ticket. However, i went from roasting to freezing! They had it cold enough to hang meat in there!
So, I have been going through our stuff, trying to figure out what to with everything. It’s enough to make my head hurt. I do make a lot of lists, but not knowing a timetable, the most I can do right now is weed things out. Yesterday, I gathered a whole lawn bag full of clothes I don’t want. They will go to the Leukemia Society.
Then today, Kaye brought me a stack of plastic tubs. That was so sweet, as they will come in so handy! She has been super busy painting every room of her new-to-her house. We enjoyed the movie together and then she was off to shop for curtain rods.
I also got back to my indoor walking routine today, boy am I out of shape after missing the last couple of months. I can’t keep missing, I am about to very busy going in and out of an Rv several times a day, and that’s not the least of it.

This post sounds so light and cheerful. Your excitement about the RV and road tripping it comes across the words. 🙂

The heat is miserable in so many places. I hope your first trip takes you to some place cool.

Thank you! It will be breezy at least, if our first destination is the beach!

Hi Kim,
Our brutal heat wave broke 2 days ago. From feeling like 110 F daily to dropping towards the 60’s at night. Plus we have suffered from a drought in NJ; definitely time to water the plants here and there to keep them alive versus scorching. I hope things are cooling off for you now.

No such luck here in the DFW metroplex. 😌 103 now and over 100 for next week too.
