100-Word scary story
Eleanor was trapped in the basement. It was cold, dark, and on top of that, she was sure there was something down there with her. She sat on the stairs in the darkness, praying her capturer would just let her go, or at least bring her a light and some food. There was that scratching noise again! She was hopeful it was rats, but couldn’t bring herself to go to the bottom of the steps. She’d only been down here for thirty minutes, but it felt like hours. All of a sudden, everyone yelled, “BOO!” as lights illuminated the basement.
