I’m so excited guys!

When I was in Arizona, I was gifted or found myself lots of items to make art projects with that I plan on gifts for other people. I cannot show you my ideas for that reason, but listen to this!

One of the items I picked up is called a devil’s claw. It is the seed pod of the devils claw plant that has been used in ancient medicine for centuries. This is what they look like when you find them in the desert.

So. Using your imagination, what do you think could be made from these?

The next item I’ll be crafting with is the “boots” from the saguaro. You’ve seen these before if you’ve been following the blog. If you haven’t, here’s a small example of the ones I’ll be using.

What the heck am I gonna do with these? Well, I know, but you may not. That’s why I can’t wait to show y’all the finished products as soon as they have been gifted so it doesn’t ruin the surprise. I take great pride in what I make, even if I get my ideas from Pinterest or whatever, what I make is my take on it.

The last item is, of course, my rocks. I have a great idea or two for using them in my projects. I think flat or river rocks will be best for my ideas. That means some projects may have to wait until my rocks are tumbled. Anyway, I just wanted y’all to know that I bought the acrylic paints, brushes and other medium to make my crafts projects come to life.

Today was the continuation of the work on some of the projects. I had two hours to myself, and I used that time wisely. I’ve never painted with acrylics, so I watched a few tutorials on YouTube so I didn’t make the rookie mistakes, and then got to work. I didn’t stop with one guy either, I watched three different artists share their knowledge, tips, and tricks. That’s what happens when you get up at 4am cause you can’t sleep! I had a similar sleepless night at my brothers house, which is when I dreamed up all my ideas and now I’m putting those ideas to work! I am so satisfied with today’s results I’m about to burst out of my skin. I want to show you so badly, but you will have to wait. Sorry, not sorry, lol.🤣😂

The last thing I need to purchase is some crafting glue, because like all my art supplies, everything I had prior to this lifestyle is in storage. We went there over the weekend and I looked at that box-filled space and thought ‘no way I’m gonna find my stuff in here!’ Amazon and Hobby Lobby are my friends!! Thank goodness they can find me if I don’t find them first!
