Happy Tuesday! I have been busy and neglected to catch you up on the weekend and more.

Friday past, David’s former co-worker/friend (of whom he hasn’t many) came to see him and watch the big fight night on Netflix. We don’t have Netflix, but lets just say we “acquired” it for the night. They were a big sham, the women’s fight put on the best show by actually fighting and not standing around looking good.

I haven’t seen Dave that happy in a while as evidenced by this photo.

Saturday night, he came back again but didn’t stay all night because he had a busy day set for Sunday. He was hunting in the early morn, driving back home to Groves, and then church and getting ready for work the next day.

It was so good to see him and catch up on some of the Groves Public Works news. We also learned about lots of his family news as well. Its hard to believe how long we’ve been gone, the kids are now young adults!

Yesterday, Robert -our friend and real estate broker-showed up again (he came by for a short visit Sunday night) to take us house hunting. Only two seemed good enough for a second look, but we have several more to see today.

Mind you, Toledo Bend is a long lake and we aren’t looking around the entire thing, just the south end, possibly even on the Louisiana side. So far, we’ve stayed in Texas with our search.

The one I would consider has a tiny bit of a water view, acceptable but not preferable, but one we will see today boasts stunning water views. We know by experience that real estate ads boast a lot they don’t really deliver on, so we will be the judge of that. This house from yesterday was actually two houses next to each other so we’d have had to pick one or the other. I preferred the one on a hill because it was move in-ready, cute, and had a peek at the water. The mom’s house down the hill had a better view but was way out of our price range.

I need to remember to get a picture of Robert today some time. I’m praying we have better luck today, because even though our feet aren’t to the fire yet, it would be nice to find something we can get busy with on our return trip.
