Hey, how’s it going?
I can’t believe its been since Sunday that I’ve been on!
Nothing much going on here but trying to subsist on a liquid diet having experienced another attack of IBS, or diverticulitis…or aren’t they the same thing?
Anyhoo, I’ve not been on my Substack lately and I was trying to figure out if I wanted to keep it, delete it, or start a new one.
So, I guess I need a little advice. I’ve been reading lots of other Substacks too, and I’m starting to follow lots of Christian writers, so I can be surrounded by not only like-minded but incredibly creative people.
I’ve felt the pull to do something more than The Sunday Message, but here doesn’t feel like the right place to do it. People come here to hear about my travel stories ( I hope) and I know I squeeze challenges and other content in as well. But do they want to see me start posting scriptures and other Christian content necessarily?
So, I’m studying the look and feel of a fellow over on Substack I follow trying to get an idea of how to formulate my own Christian stack. (not sure if that’s the right lingo)
Thing is, I’ve not been studying the Bible long enough to come up with favorite scriptures, I just kind of relate what I’m learning. What I’m wondering about is whether I should go ahead and start messing around with it or wait until I’m more knowledgeable.
I read something the other day that stuck with me and I “borrowed” a phrase, thinking it might make a good name for it…if I create a new thing on Substack. PS: Be careful if/when you go perusing around the Substack app, there’s a lot of good writing there, but like all platforms, there’s a lot of evil too.
Hate, pornography, just plain nasty stuff. Seek out talented writers who are more interested in creating something meaningful than the ones who spew disgusting things. Some are funny, thought provoking, dramatic, whatever you want to read, really.
There are many great Christian writers like Donald Schular and others. Sometimes people just post pictures of their otters. Seriously. 😃 I mean, I like otters, don’t you? They are so cute!
Well, back to my query. The name -if I decided to create it- would be Focus on the Crocus.
To me it sounded deeper than flowers. What do you all think? About the whole thing?
Anxiously and prayerfully waiting. 🙏
