I know that Inktober is over, but I wanted to keep up the practice of drawing daily, so I went to Hobby Lobby and found this cool sketching kit for $3 and some change! What a surprisingly good deal!
Last night, the hubs was at work and trick or treaters were practically non-existent, so I turned on some scary movies and went to work, practicing my shading techniques. Wow, it’s amazing what the proper tools can do. Of course, the kit has your basic picture lightly penciled on the canvas, but then it’s up to you to fill in the shading using the picture as your guide.

Everyone’s results will be different, of course, but this gives you the basic idea. There were lots more kits to choose from too. I may have to go back and get more and practice until I have it down pat. I’m happy to be drawing again, even if it’s just a short while every day. Who knows where it could lead?
I love learning new things, and I used to love drawing people and landscapes. I’m without a Diamond Art project right now, and I didn’t like any of the ones Hobby Lobby had, so this will take its place for the time being. Just a few minutes a day is all it takes to learn a new skill. I can handle that!
