I’m So Excited!
| Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “ends with ‘ish.’” Find or make up a word that ends with “ish” and use it way you’d like. Enjoy! |
I’m not entirely sure how to even start this stream so I guess I’ll just blurt out the happy news!
My you best son’s ex-girlfriend whom I still have a great relationship with gave her life to the Lord! I’m more than over the moon, more than excited-ish; I’m full-on ecstatic!
Becky, and I’m sure she’d be ok with me telling you this, is a recovering alcoholic. So she’s also always been “spiritual” but in the love the earth kind of way. She’s a beautiful soul and I’m just at a loss for words hearing her news.
Praise be to God! She found herself at a church (not sure if it was through a friend or what) and she told me she had been baptized before, yet she will do it again tomorrow because now she understands why!! That is huge! It’s everything and it’s what I hope and pray for that my own boys would do.
They also are aware and have their own ideas about God but as a traditionalist, I want to see them give their lives over to the Lord. Why I can’t explain what a difference it would make in their lives I don’t know, but I think Sean is the closest to doing it.
My next sketch in the sketchbook proves that like this heart, we aren’t all perfect, yet God loves us anyway, just as we are.

This happens when I try to copy someone else design and make it my own. It comes out a bit wonky.
Also, I was so happy to see a hummingbird straggler the other day!

I should have blown that up for you!
Lastly, I was taking the dogs potty last night and realized I didn’t need a flashlight because the moon was so bright!

Dummy me, forgot that the flash was on or something and I got a green dot in there. The roof is what you’re seeing below.
I just got back from calling Bingo at Sabine Place. That was so much fun-not that I haven’t done it before-but it was my first time here. Those ladies and gents were so cute! They knew the rules and boy they let you know if you’re not doing it the way they are used to. 😂
They got homemade cookies as prizes and candy just for showing up. I may make that a monthly ministry! I love calling Bingo for people in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Once upon a time, I was an assistant activities director and we did lots of Bingo and other games. Can you imagine how dark it would be without that little bit of light to brighten up their day, week, or month? Some of these people have no one that even visits them. So now my heart is happy! ❤️
