Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their Easter Weekend so far. I’m having tummy woes, but managing to get some things done in between bathroom trips.

Let’s see how I manage Linda G Hill’s SoCS prompt for the day:
Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “nose/noes/knows.” Use one, use ’em all, bonus points if you use all three. Have fun!
One of my proyectos (projects) was to box up the china I was gifted with this house almost seven years ago to make room in my built-in cabinet for mine and my parent’s Pyrex and Corning Ware. We had to make a trip to Home Depot for a roll of dish paper, and the I carefully wrapped the 5-piece, 8 place setting set of china in a tub. Does anyone know anyone who would love a set of Legendary Noratake china with not one chip? Selling for $100 for the entire set! My neighbor was kind enough to find the number of the previous owner who I was going to call and see if she wanted it back, but my husband said the answer would be a bunch of ”noes” and had she wanted it, she wouldn’t have left it here.

We also had to go walk through my Dad’s again with my brother so they could pick the things from the garage they each wanted before we have an estate sale. I had to hold my nose a few times as Kevin was dropping things out of the attic, or sweeping off dusty old tools and machinery. At one point, I was sitting on the steps leading into the house just as he accidentally knocked loose some crumbling sheetrock which fell right next to me! I wanted to get in the attic and nose around but they wouldn’t let me up there. 🤬 I know where to step so I don’t fall through! Kevin said it was super hot though and when he came down, his whole t-shirt was soaked.
After that, we took a look around the back yard and sheds, and I was amazed to see how much Dad’s fig tree had grown. I hope the new owners appreciate how long he had to baby that tree (along with other fruit trees, grapevines, etc) and take good care of them. I wish I had his green thumb, I would take cuttings of everything! I will miss having pecans, persimmons, and grapes from his back yard, but honestly, it’s been years since he was able to properly care for them himself. over the years, he’s made wine from his grapes, and baked goods with his persimmons. He has so many pecan trees, we shared them with everyone! It would be so cool if my friend and hairdresser could buy the house, so I could go by and get pecans whenever I wanted…but honestly, we may not be here much longer ourselves.
Still waiting for that ship to come in.
Happy Easter everyone! Have a blessed one!
