Gettin Busy

Hello all!

My schedule seems to be filling up and I’m not mad about it!

Starting with church activities, add in PT two to three times a week and top it off with games several days a week, my calender is almost full.

Today I managed to get a Tai Chi workout in before prayer group at 10am.

Next, I had to run to Walmart to grab a prescription and a couple of other things. Since nothing was cold, I was able to make it to the other church where we play games for a game or two of Hand, Knee, and Foot.

Leaving there at 1:40 I I made it to PT way ahead of my 2pm appt. Knocked that out in thirty minutes and made it home in time for 3pm stretches followed by a walking workout. I can’t lie, I started with a 30-min timer but was too tired and finished at 17 minutes.

Most days I’m looking for something to do but now that games -not one but two- can be played, Mahjong Monday nights and Hand, Knee and Foot Wednesdays -plus keeping the house up and cooking keep me pretty darn busy! Mahjong is also played three days a week, when you can’t make it. Now I’ll have a choice!

The busier one is the less time they have to dwell on themselves and their problems, so surely that has to be a good thing!

Tomorrow night is next in the monthly Bible Study – Fingerprints of God, which I’m looking forward to because Noelle is such a great teacher and getting to know God more intimately is the goal for me.

Meeting new friends at the other church while playing games is also good for one’s mental health. PT is good for my physical health. Win, win!

I think it’s a nice balance.

One bit of news. I went to my follow-up with Dr. Lo (but saw Jason) yesterday and told him now that my neck is improving my back is acting up again and he wants to do a joint block or something like that and if it’s successful, then we will do the ablation. I asked my not just cut to the chase and he said because of insurance.

So I have another poke to look forward to but if it gets me out of pain for a while, it’s worth it.
