Things can change with this lifestyle in the blink of an eye, just like any lifestyle I guess. Sickness, finances, weather disasters all contribute to these changes.
Dave came to me this morning and asked how I felt about staying another month. I was ok with it because, even though I was already resigned to leaving and making plans, nothing is ever set in stone.
We are staying due to the bad springtime weather rolling through Mississippi for the next several weeks. It looked dicey enough that he decided he didn’t want to chance it.
Bad weather can destroy a motor home in the same number of ways as a brick and mortar home. Hail, high winds, or getting caught in a flooding situation. Luckily, we can avoid it or drive out ahead of it, unlike a brick and mortar home.
I informed family and friends of the changes, they were understanding. One of my besties was a little sad, but she gets it. She also lives in an RV, but hers is seated in the ground and plumbed.
My friends and family here are happy! We are happy! We will be staying the entire month of April.
In other good news, I won second place at shuffleboard today along with my partner in the game, Tony. We won $8 each, doubling our money. This was only the second time I’ve been “in the money” at shuffleboard.
Tonight, we played a game called horses and I won a quarter of one pot in five games, so I went home early. It was Survivor night anyway. 😉

I hope you all have had as wonderful a day as us! We enjoyed the pool after the hot and sweaty game, Dave cooked a delicious dinner, and I learned a new game tonight. Not bad for a Wednesday!
