Morning Exercise Made Possible by Him

Thank You Jesus

I picked my exercise video and before two minutes went by, I knew I would need help. I was tired and had no energy, plus my hips were tight and hurting.

I prayed for energy to get through a short 30-minute workout.

At 15 minutes I grabbed the remote, ready to quit. Then the music changed and the preview showed an easy move, so I tried to keep going. As usual, once I get past the difficult halfway point, somehow I had the energy to keep going.

Her encouraging smiles, the music changes, and my constant praying for the energy to keep going kept me in it.

I don’t remember her name, but you can find her on YouTube.

This afternoon, after my stretches, I’ll do my Tai chi workout. Now that I’ve done my mile ++, I can do a 15-20 minute Tai chi with no guilt. The powers that be say just 30 minutes of exercise a day is enough to keep you heart healthy.

That is only one of the reasons I moved. The other iv said many times before. If I quit moving, I’ll quit moving! That’s not an option!!

Also, my back is hurting again which means either my shots wore off or I’m still not moving enough. So now I’m off to Walmart for shopping and a few more steps. 😜

Thanks again goes to our Lord for answering my prayer 🛐

  1. That’s marvelous that you were able to make yourself keep exercising. I’m a bit different. Once I start, I hardly ever fail to complete whatever I set out to do. Once in a while, I just don’t start.

    1. I’ve had days like that too, Anne. It’s ok to break once in a while as long as we don’t make a habit of it!

  2. Every day, I talk myself into walking by reminding myself that I still can walk, and I want that ability to continue.

      1. Another one to check out is Lauren from SeniorShape Fitness. She has great joint friendly and bone friendly workouts and a lot of seated workouts that were a godsend when I hurt my leg last year. Her style is different style from Jules but I like her too.

Are you also doing Tai chi workouts? I highly recommend them. They have greatly improved my balance and strength!

      3. I haven’t done any Tai Chi. It’s a bit like pilates for me. It doesn’t really appeal.

      4. Regular Tai chi didn’t to me either. This what I do is more like a walking routine. It’s fun and D effective. My legs are much more toned and my balance has improved!
